Ohio State Honors Coach Knight

The name Bob Knight is often associated with college basketball and coaching.  The things about Coach Bob Knight is that there is never any grey, it is either black or white.  You either love the coach or you just do not love the coach.  Regardless of how you feel about the man, his records do tend to speak for themselves.  In his professional career Bob Knight has conquered some impressive feats, including:

  • A total of 902 wins, which is only second to his past apprentice, Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski.
  • Three national championships.
  • A student-athlete graduation rate of 98%.
  • And an Olympic gold medal
  • He is also a member of the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame and the National Collegiate Hall of Fame.

Just a couple of days ago Ohio State honored Coach Bob Knight, his achievements, and his contributions to the sport of college basketball at a luncheon.

From 1960 to 1962 Bob Knight was a Buckeyes student-athlete under the prestigious coach Fred Taylor.  The video below is the tribute for Coach Bob Knight that was played during the ceremony.

So whether or not you remember Bob Knight for throwing chairs or winning, he is still remembered and his accomplishments have not gone unnoticed.
