Party, Party, Party
In the OSU!
If there is one thing that people should know about life it would probably have to be that life is too short to not have fun. How awful would life be if you were always serious no matter what the situation or circumstance. Yeah, that would be pretty awful indeed. That is one reason why I love the athletes of the Ohio State Buckeyes athletic programs. They know when to be serious and when to have fun.
Ohio State Honors Coach Knight
The name Bob Knight is often associated with college basketball and coaching. The things about Coach Bob Knight is that there is never any grey, it is either black or white. You either love the coach or you just do not love the coach. Regardless of how you feel about the man, his records do tend to speak for themselves. In his professional career Bob Knight has conquered some impressive feats, including:
8-1 For Buckeyes Basketball
This past Saturday was the first loss for the number 2 Ohio State Buckeyes as they took on the Kansas University Jayhawks, the number 13 team. It’s the first loss of the season and many factors attributed to the 78-67 loss for the Buckeyes. One of the main factors being the fact that Jared Sullinger was out the whole game due to back spasms.
Do You Hear This?
Any Buckeyes fan know about “The Best Damn Band in the Land.” The Ohio State University Marching Band truly is incredible, fun to watch, and extremely fun to listen to. As a child I remember watching the Pride of the Buckeyes take the field at halftime during football games. I think I enjoyed watching the band perform just as much as I loved watching the game be played. My dad realized this and so we began going to more events just to watch the band.
Indiana at Ohio State Preview
So, what can we expect from the upcoming India at Ohio State game? Let’s take a look at the 2011 Indiana Hoosiers football team, which is easily the worst team in the Big Ten this year: currently they are 1-8, with their one victory being over South Carolina State. This team has given up more than 40 points in each of its last 4 games, with opponents rushing for an average of 235 yards on them. That isn’t good.
Win Number One
College football started off with a bang this past weekend, and since my Buckeyes won, you know that I am quite the happy camper. The game Saturday was really a blowout. I mean 42-0 for the win is pretty big, but then again, we were taking on Akron, so it was expected. In all honesty, I am getting more pumped about the Saturday game against Miami more than I am anything else.
Ohio State Football Schedule
and Team 2011
It’s August and that means a number of things. First, school is starting back up, and I am ready to go into my sophomore year at Ohio State. I have all my books and my schedule and this year I’m out of the dorms and on my own, thankfully. The second thing that August means is that Fall is fast approaching, which leads me to my third thing, football. Not just any football, but Buckeyes football.
Ohio’s Best Plays
When you think about the best players of all time there are many people that can come to mind. Some people like to think that the ones that scored the most points are the best or made the big play of the year. The best players of all time are the ones that continuously are amazing players with star qualities.
Buckeye Memories
Some of my fondest memories from my childhood feature trips with my father and uncles to watch some of their favorite football teams, particularly Ohio State since Uncle Jim is a proud alum. I would spend the entire trip in the car listening to the men rattle off stats and discuss the amazing plays from the last game we attended with so much enthusiasm that I felt like I was already at the stadium. The food was incredibly unhealthy, consisting primarily of Bugles and off brand beef jerky that left a terrible odor in the van. Every time we arrived at our destination my father would begin his history lessons on the first game played there and the best coaches of all time. I didn’t necessarily remember all of the details of his stories but they never failed to leave me astonished by the sport of football.
